So Close

We leave tomorrow for VEGAS!!! I cannot believe it has been 6 years since we walked down the aisle and said "I Do!" I love him so much and am looking forward to forever. I am so excited to spend a week with Ed, just the two of us. It will be like getting to know eachother all over again. It has been a year since he moved back to Michigan, who knew it would take that long to find what we needed. Of course, we have no idea where we will end up.

I have taken the next step. I had a major interview process this week. On Wednesday night, I got a call and was asked to do a phone interview on Thursday and fly to Chicago on Friday for a lunch interview. Thursday was tough, but I made it through. Friday was L-O-N-G, I left my house at 6am to drive to Cincy and catch a plane to O'Hare. Did you know that the Cincy airport is in Kentucky?? I was 15 miles inside of Kentucky before there was a sign for the Cincinnati airport. I arrived at 7:45am and sat in the airport until 11:30am waiting for my lunch. I took a cab to Gibson's and had a GREAT conversation and lunch.
It lasted 2 1/2 hours and it was fabulous!! I then got back to O'Hare, flight was delayed, arrived in Cincy at 6:30pm and headed home. So, like I said: L-O-N-G day!! Now, it is a wait & see.

Out of touch

Sorry that I have been out of touch lately. It is crazy around here and I am trying to de-clutter and reorganize and re-center. Apparently de-activating my Facebook account has caused quite a stir. It was just the first step in finding my place and taking the time to relax.

I am desperately trying to find a new job, sell the house, etc. It is hectic and trying and frustrating all at the same time. So, when I have a minute, I spend it relaxing.

I am so looking forward to March 8th. Not only is it our 6th Anniversary, we are heading to Vegas and spending a week, just the two of us!! We will be relaxing, enjoying eachother, and doing a lot of sightseeing. We plan on renting a car and heading to the Grand Canyon for a day, which is a long drive and a short visit, but I believe it is worth it to see a beautiful, natural wonder of this world.

What a week - it was horrible, it was long, it is OVER!! It just solidified the fact that I need a new job. I applied for a few jobs today, one I did not have enough experience for, and they were kind enough to email me right away to tell me. This was great, as most places are not even bothering to reply these days. This I find is rude and unprofessional. A lot of people say it is because they are getting many resumes and do not have the time, I find it an excuse. I am finding that opening my own firm may be the way to go. Believe it or not, I am hearing that this is a great idea in a recession. Who knows?!?

New Food Trials

This was my lunch, and it was not so bad. I needed more food after, but refrained.

I just ate this after my workout and it was REALLY good. It takes 9 minutes at 50% in the microwave, so that sucks.

Worked out on my lunch hour. I feel rushed, but feel good.

New Week

Breakfast this morning was a delicious quesadilla from Weight Watchers. Who knew it would be so good. I also had a small glass of orange juice. I have chicken baking in the oven for dinner, and am taking a Lean Cuisine to work for lunch. During my lunch, I will be working out. I am in a different building this week, and it happens to have the gym in it. I was planning on going to the gym this morning, but accidentally turned off the alarm instead of hitting snooze. OOPS!

Been Awhile

I am not lost...well, maybe a little.

Things here have not changed much. The house is still for sale, Ed is still in Michigan, I am still looking for a new job, and Justice is my saving grace.

I have not been doing much baking, but plan on doing so soon. I have an ad almost done, and am working on business cards.

Cut my hair, changed my glasses, heading back to the gym, cutting carbs. It is a new me - watch out world!

Squeal Like A Pig!

Amanda and I headed to Jungle Jim's in Fairfield, Ohio. It is a HUGE grocery store, basically. Six acres of food from around the world. They have a section of Hot Sauces that is amazing and hilarious. I was able to find a few that made me laugh. Why "Squeal Like A Pig?" Ed & I watched "Deliverance" for the first time this week and then I saw this bottle of hot sauce. I was laughing so hard, and Amanda, thank goodness, understood.

My favorite part? I was able to pick up Tyropitas, Rock & Rye Soda, and Red & White Fusion Tea!!!!
