Gone Again

Ed is in Canton today and tomorrow. It is a 4 hour drive in the work trucks, so we were up at 4:30am so he could be at work by 5:30am. He should be home tomorrow night. Justice and I are going to hang out tonite and take a couple of walks. I am only working til 5:30pm and then headed home to relax for awhile.

John Bryan State Park

We headed to Yellow Springs, Ohio on Sunday to check out the state park we had heard so much about. On first glance, it did not seem like much. However, once we got further in, there were signs for walking trails and the river. We took a loop that was approximately 2.1 miles long. The first half was a little rough, with rocks, tree roots, big stumps, mud, etc. But is was worth it. There were a lot of little springs trickling down the rocks, which made it easy for Justice to get all the water he wanted. The second half was a little easier, it looks like someone cleared out all the debris to make it an easier path. We look forward to bring our visitors to this park. We have put some pictures below to show you all some of the scenery.

Lately

Lately, we have been busy. We finally got the tile for the shower. Now, I just have to find time to rip out the old surround and start the tiling. I will not lie, I am scared to start, but I am excited, too!!

Ed surprised me Sunday with tickets to see Blue Man Group in concert. They were at the Nutter Center at Wright State University. It is about 20-30 minutes away, depending on traffic. THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, we have no pictures. If you ever get a chance to see them, do so!

Ed is in Ft. Wayne, again. Not sure how long they will be gone - could be one day or 3 days.

4 years together and we are still as happy as the day we got married and even more in love!

03/08/07 = 4 Years

Hard to believe that yesterday marked our 4th anniversary! We went to Carraba's for dinner, of course. That has become our anniversary tradition. Ed LOVES the Filet Fiorentino. I tried their Sirloin Marsala and fell in love. The steak was as tender as butter! I had yesterday off of work so we could just hang out and be together. Ed starts working again on Monday, so our time together will get shorter and shorter.

The bedroom is done, except for the closet doors - which we have special ordered and it should come to us in about a month. The upstairs bath is next! We are looking to tear-out the old surround and install a marble looking tile in the shower. This will be our first tile job and Stacy has taken the lead on this one. Can't wait to see what we can do!!

I opened the wall to place a stud to hold these gang boxes and then rewired and replaced the outlets.

I gutted the fan of all wires, motors, blades, blade arms, pulls and switches. I then painted and flocked to it give it that stone look and then clearcoated plus added new class lampshades,pulls ,arms and blades. All with just 1 extra washer left when I was done!

Happy March

Well, hard to believe that it is already March. We welcomed the month with a thunderstorm early this morning and it has been raining off and on all day.

Ed has almost completed the bedroom. It is painted, new outlets and a new light switch. Today, we bought the materials to customize the ceiling fan that is in there. I am very excited to see the finished product. The last purchase for that room will be a new door on the closet.

I spent last weekend in Michigan. I arrived on Friday and left on Saturday. During those two days, we moved mom into a new apartment. I was hoping to stay longer, but according to the weather, there was a big winter storm heading in. I arrived back in Ohio around 5:30pm and the ice started around 8pm. But, nothing really happened that was supposed to. I could have stayed in Kalamazoo and visited family. Mom's new apartment is nice. She has two huge bedrooms and a screened in porch. It will be nice in the warm months.
