Recovery

All went well with the surgery. I am, per doctor's orders, "a couch potato for three days." I have been on the couch or in bed since getting home yesterday afternoon. I slept for about 6 hours last night and then slept another 3 hours this morning.

Have been catching up on my email - 46 messages!! And also reading up on Andrea's latest adventure in South Africa. It sounds, and looks, like she is having a lot of fun and learning a lot of great things.

I am off work until 8/18, so if anyone wants to chat, give me a call or try to catch me online. Ed is home all week to paint and take care of Justice. Daddy and Lori are heading down Thursday for the weekend.

Surgery

I am having surgery on my left knee on Monday, July 28th. The procedure is scheduled for 11:30am. The doc says that it has to be done, or it will keep getting worse and I will be back for a more serious surgery. Right now, there is a lot of loose cartiledge under the knee cap and it is irritating the knee cap with every movement - which is causing pain and swelling. The procedure should only take 25 minutes. I am slated to be off work until August 18th, but it could be longer depending on whether the surgery is as easy as he hopes and on whether the recovery goes well.

I just wanted to let everyone know what was going on. Ed will be home for the week, so I am not alone and Justice can be taken care of.

Not Much to Report

Ed was home for the weekend. We had to go to a wedding on Sunday. It was outside and it was HOT!

No bites on the house - AAUUGGHH!! Ed will, hopefully, be home all next week so that we can get the exterior painted and the kitchen wall painted. I have started packing boxes, trying to be optimistic, and we will more than likely get a realtor involved at the end of the month.

Weekend

Spent Saturday sweating outside at the Butterfly Festival. It was quite beautiful, but HOT!!! There were some gorgeous flowers and some nice looking butterflies. After, we did a little shopping and then had some dinner at Sake. It is one of those Japanese restaurants where they cook right in front of you. I liked it, a little. It was not all that great.

Sunday, I mowed the lawn, of course. We had storms all weekend, but they stopped long enough for the yard to dry out so I could mow.

Enjoy the pictures from the Butterfly Festival at Cox Arboretum.

Ed is home next weekend!!!

Lebbon Reunion

I have finally put some pictures up from the reunion. It was a lot of fun and it was really great seeing people for the first time in awhile. Enjoy the pictures!

Lori, Stacy, Andrea together again. Now, we are saying goodbye to Andrea until November as she heads off to South Africa.

Munchkin No More

Tomorrow my Munchkin, Andrea, leaves for South Africa until November. I am so excited for her to be taking this next step in her life. She has turned into an amazing adult. I would like to think that I had some influence in this, but she has done this all on her own. I am so proud of her and cannot wait to hear all about her adventures.

Progress

I lost a only a pound, but lost 2 inches off of my waist!! I am doing really good at avoiding fast food. Not so good at avoiding sugar/chocolate/candy. I am eating a healthy breakfast every morning and bringing fruit to work to snack on.

For all who have asked, just send Ed's cards/gifts to Ohio. He is planning on being here the weekend of the 18th, as we have a wedding here on the 20th.

Still working on getting the pictures posted.

Holiday Weekend

We had a GREAT weekend! It was nice being able to spend time with Ed - even if he did have to work on the 4th for a few hours. We were able to hang out with both sides of his family.

On Friday, we visited with Dave, Paige, Jack, Aunt Maureen, Mom & Dad, and Grandpa & Grandma. Then, on Saturday, is was the Lebbon Reunion. That was a lot of fun. I took a TON of pictures with my new camera. Ed got me a Nikon Coolpix S550 and a 4GB memory card. I can take 1600 pictures before running out of room. I will try and get pics up here soon.

No news on the house. We will be listing with a realtor by the end of the month.
