We had a really nice weekend. After a really crappy day at work on Thursday, I took a vacation day on Friday and gave myself a 3-day weekend. Justice and I hung out for the entire day and we went for a long walk to enjoy the weather. Blue sky w/out a single cloud and close to 70 degrees. Ed & I headed out to dinner - I was craving hot wings and we were going to go to my favorite place, Fricker's, after we went to JC Penneys. We were looking at a dining room table in their ad but when we got there, it was the wrong color. So, we headed to Linens-n-Things and spent a little money on some things we needed for the kitchen. Oh, and Ed decided it was a good time to buy a scale so we can keep a check on what we weigh. Well, it was a HUGE wake-up call for both of us.
We went out to dinner - before we weighed ourselves, of course. Decided to try a new wings place - BC Roosters. It was okay, Fricker's is better. But, BC Roosters has this deep-fried mac-n-cheese that is to die for! After dinner, we headed to Lowe's, for our quickest trip there ever - we were in and out in about 15 minutes. We knew what we wanted - a grill that we had seen there before that has granite countertops. We put it together on Saturday and I got grilled burgers for dinner.

Family Visit
My sister, Andrea, and cousin, Kari, were here for the weekend. At first, I was a little worried about what I was going to do with 2 19 year old girls. We took them out to dinner at our new favorite place, Doubledays. This restaurant has something for everyone. We were there for a few hours, just talking and eating and really catching up.
I learned a few things. My baby sister is planning on going to South Africa to study and then is joining the Peace Corps after graduating from college. I am totally freaking out!!!!!!!! South Africa???!!!!! She is very excited about it, so I am going to be as supportive as I can. It is so hard to realize that she is has grown up into a woman. I want the little girl back who used to try and sneak under my bedroom door to spend time with me.
We ended up taking the girls to the mall on Saturday. We went to Fairfield Commons, a mall that Ed & I had not yet been to. It was a great idea! The girls did A LOT of shopping. I think we were there for about 5 hours. Ed bought some truffles at the Godiva store - I won a free chocolate bar!! I had a great time, and hope the girls did to.

Weird Weather
Well, we did not get 80 degree weather this past weekend. It was SO COLD that I did not want to leave the house. We got a few things done around the house.
Andrea and Kari will be here on Friday!!! Not really sure what to do with 2 19 year olds, but we will figure it out when they get here. Hopefully, they will have some ideas of what they want to do.

Beautiful Weekend
We ended up with a very beautiful weekend. I had Sunday off of work and we ended up doing so work outside in the flowerbeds. We even started a strawberry plant so we can enjoy strawberries all summer long.
Our nephew and niece, Nate & Maddie, were baptized on Sunday. We feel terrible that we were not able to go, but our thoughts were with them. We are very proud of them and know that taking this step is HUGE in a child's life.
