Alone

Ed left today for Lansing. Dennis was pretty anxious to get him up there to help out on a job. It was weird packing the suitcases for him. This is potentially a HUGE step for us. He should only be gone for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. The worst part? We will be spending our 5th anniversary in different cities.

Luckily, I have Justice to keep me company. We will take a lot of walks and, depending on the weather, may even head out to John Bryan State Park for some hiking.

I have a few feelers out for a job back in Michigan. I will keep you updated.

Too short..

Daddy & Andrea left this morning - headed to Tennessee. It was really great having them here, but I wish they could have stayed longer. We went to the Dayton Art Institute and checked out the exhibits. It is free to go, but there is a cost to view the Special Exhibits. We just looked at all of the free stuff. We were going to go to John Bryan State Park because it was finally warm out, but figured it would be incredibly muddy.

Ed is going to be heading to Lansing to work for Dennis. Depending on the weather, he may actually be there this week. He is going to stay with Mom & Dad until I can find a job there, sell this house and find a new house. So, please pray for us. We can use all the help we can get.

Inspiration for Haircut

Locks of Love

I went to get my haircut last night - it was getting a little too long for my taste. So, I chose a haircut I liked - Reese Witherspoon from "Sweet Home Alabama." A little shorter than what I had, or so I thought. When I went in and took my hair out of the ever present ponytail, the hairdresser informed me that my hair was long enough to donate to Locks of Love. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I had no idea that my hair was over 10 inches long! Stay tuned for pics!

Daddy and Andrea are arriving today. We are a stop on their Spring Break Visit the Family Tour. They are going to stay until Monday morning and then continue on their journey south.

The sun is FINALLY shining here. It has been way too long. The snow is even almost gone. Looks like Spring is finally on the way.

Who knew??

I had a sore throat on Friday, minor, that turned into the feeling of swallowing broken glass, a cough and a runny nose by the end of the day. So, I went to Urgent Care thinking it was Strep Throat - Ed said it was the flu and that I needed Tamiflu. Guess who was right? Ed!! The doc said that although the symptoms I had could be a cold or strep, because they came on so suddenly, in less than 12 hours, it was the flu. Thank goodness it was Friday and I had a three day weekend to recover. The doc gave me Tamiflu and I am feeling better. It is Wednesday and I am back at work. Still get wiped out after a little bit of exertion, but at least I am not sleeping all day and all night.

We are getting snow today!! Justice is thrilled and wants to be outside every chance he gets. Unfortunately, I had to come to work and Ed is also at work so Justice is stuck in the house until one of us gets home. We are only supposed to get a few inches, but, as usual, everyone is freaking out about the amount and a lot of people called in because of the roads - which are totally clear by the way! Sometimes, I really dislike living in Ohio.

Okay, I will try to keep this update. I am going to be starting a Bible in a Year project and may use this blog to write down some thoughts. It is time for us to get back to God and remember that we can count on him instead of just ourselves.
