Good News!
My dad had another test yesterday. All is going to be fine. He had a bleed that was causing headaches, but it appears to have sealed itself! What a huge relief for everyone. We are just hoping that this does not happen again. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers - you know who you are!

Trying to stay positive...
This is so much easier to say then do. My daddy had a brain MRI done last week because he was getting headaches. They found a 2mm spot. Not yet sure what it is. We are hoping it is an aneurysm that can be treated with meds. My dad is not worried, and, apparently, the doctor is not concerned. He got the results last Thursday and his appointment with his regular doctor is this Friday. He will then find out when his appointment is with a neuro. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Another Year Over...
It is so hard to believe that it will soon be 2008. This last year has held triumphs and sorrows. I do not feel the need to relive all of the happenings of the last year. All that is important is for us to say "Thank you and we love you!" to all of our family and friends. We are blessed to have you in our lives and we look forward to a prosperous and happy 2008.

Christmas
We had a blast on Christmas. I worked until 2pm on Christmas Eve and then picked up Ed & Justice and we headed out. The first thing we did was stop for pizza and breadsticks - thank goodness they were still open. It was great getting to spend time with family. We stayed with mom & dad until Thursday afternoon.
Everyone was so generous! I received the photo printer I really wanted and a second bowl for my mixer. Ed got the shop vac and collapsible saw horses he needs to finish the the work on the house. He also got a Carhartt jacked that he really needed for work from Cathie & Dave. Even Justice got some presents - rawhides, greenies, etc.
We are so sorry that we could not see everyone. Keep your fingers crossed, we may be back in Michigan by next Christmas!

This may have to be our card next year. This is the tree upstairs at mom & dad's - the one without the gifts!

Justice's Christmas collar had bells, so everytime he moved, he jingled.

Just one week....
And the madness will be over! I cannot wait for the holidays to be done with. The roads are a mess, I cannot get any regular shopping done because of the crowds, and a ton of people are out of work which means the rest of us are picking up the slack. Luckily, it is a little slow this time of year.
We got some snow over the weekend. It is a little ridiculous around here. It was only a few inches and they called a Level 1 snow emergency telling people to stay off the roads. I guess the grocery stores were packed and the people were rude and the shelves got emptied. I just stayed at home and laughed at the entire population of Ohio.

Holiday Spirit
It is really hard to get into the holiday spirit lately. There is no snow on the ground, just cloudy skies and rain. I am not decorating for Christmas or sending out Christmas cards this year. I hope that all of you know how much we love you and how grateful we are that you are in our lives.
We did some gift shopping yesterday. It helped a little, but not a lot - at least not enough for me to decorate! However, I did pull out some of my holiday cookie recipes and will be getting started on that this week/weekend.
Not a lot of news to report. Will update later.
