The Sun is Shining

I am so happy right now! The sun is shinnig and we are supposed to reach the high 60s tomorrow. Life is not ideal right now, but I am learning to see the positive things. I had a really good day yesterday, and I am hoping today will be good, also. For right now, I am going to gaze at the sun and imagine the beautiful flowers that will soon be out.

The Right Thing?

I said goodbye to Kevin today. He needed more space and attention than I could give him. An employee at City Pets, a locally owned pet store, was kind enough to take him. She really likes rats, and has a couple at home already. I know I did the right thing, but why does that not make me feel any better? I only had him for a week and a half, but it feels like I gave away a part of me. The apartment seems a little more empty. I think I will go next door and hang out with Lucy. Little doggie kisses are bound to make me feel better.

Feeling Helpless

I am feeling helpless today. Vicky has been a part of my life for 30 years, and she needs my love and support. I am sending love and good thoughts, but it does not seem like it is enough. How do I not panic? How do I remember that God is in charge? How do I find the strength?

7 Years Seems Like Yesterday

7 years ago today, I was lucky enough to be married to the greatest guy in the world. I never thought I would be walking down the aisle. In fact, I was pretty sure I would stay single forever. Then, I met Ed. He managed to make me fall in love with him in a short amount of time. I adore him and cannot imagine what life would be without him.

Kevin & the Carrot

Kevin eats a carrot every morning. This morning he was super cute in his sleep sac that Andrea made him. I just had to get a few pictures. Now, I am not much for Rats, just ask Emily. But he found a place in my heart. Maybe because he was abandoned outside. No matter the reason, he is a part of our family now.
