More News

Good news...Grandpa is out of the hospital! It was scar tissue from an old surgery. It grew and wrapped around his intestines. Yuck! We are all so glad he is back home. He and gramma will be flying home to Texas on Friday. Bad news...Ed's Uncle Joe is in the hospital with appendicitis. The doctors are hoping to handle this laproscopically, which means he could be home in 24 hours. Please pray for a good outcome.

Our temps have improved. We are in the 40s! However, it is raining and the snow is melting. There are concerns that with the warm temps melting the snow and with the added rain, we could have some flooding in our area. I am ready for some sunshine and spring temperatures.

Grandpa

We got news last night that Ed's grandpa is in the hospital. He has not been eating and his stomach is swelling. Mom & Dad were taking him to the emergency room when they called us. We will keep you informed of what is happening.

Well, last week we got 4-5 inches of snow and then 8 hours of sleet. Schools were shut down for 3 days and most of the businesses in town closed. Even LexisNexis sent everyone home at 3:30pm on Tuesday. Not my department, as we are what they consider "essential personnel" and we are always open. Over 70 people in my department called in that day. It ended up being a very busy day since our call volume does not slow down due to bad weather in our area.

Ed finally finished my craft room. It is where I plan on setting up all of my scrapbook stuff and ornament making materials. The next step is to design and build a craft table. I am very excited about getting this done and being able to scrapbook in my spare time. Ed has done a GREAT job, he had a lot of things to fix as the previous owners were not really handy and did a pretty bad job covering holes and installing light fixtures (as seen in the pictures below).

The pictures below of Emily and Justice are hilarious. Emily came home to Grandpa and Grandma's house with us after Uncle Tim's funeral. She just HAD to see Justice before going back to her house. When we got there, we discovered he had not eaten his breakfast, and it was after 2pm by this time. Emily wanted to give Justice a treat, as usual, but told him "you cannot have a treat until you finish your breakfast." At this point, she got down on the floor and hand-fed him his entire bowl of food! When he was finished, she proceeded to give him a treat - like he needed more food in his stomach! She was just what we needed after that emotionally draining day.
