Bahamas Vacation

We had so much fun and there is so much to say. However, you get one picture for now. This is us, plus Emily, getting to know Cassie the Sea Lion. Turns out she is famous - she was the star of the movie "Andre."

Happy Birthday, Munchkin

Happy 22nd to the best little munchkin I have! I love you and am so very proud of the young woman that you have become. I aspire to be half as kind as you are. I love you forever.

My Interesting Morning

This is how my Tuesday morning started. I am no longer parking on the street. They ended up towing the car, once I moved my Jeep. I still have no idea who the vehicle belongs to. Luckily, it rolled slow, and there is no damage to the Jeep.

Fort Wayne Hot Wings

After talking about these wings for quite awhile, Ed was finally able to introduce me to hot wings from Wrigley's Field in Fort Wayne. They are grilled and delish! We ate 24 wings in the parking lot, as we did not want to leave Justice in the car alone. I would have taken a pic of the wings, but Ed pretty muched inhaled them.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was great! We drove up to the 'Zoo and hung out with Vicky, Lori, Munchkin, KareBear and her two beautiful babies - Wyatt and Sophie. Kimmer joined us after dinner.




We arrived in rain and woke up to snow!!! It had all melted by the time we left to go see Gramma. Seeing her was the icing on the cake. I have missed her so much and think of her often.

Lucy in the Sky

I got to dog sit Lucy, who lives next door. She is a little thing, so it was weird dealing with a wiggling ball of fur. But, she is so freaking adorable and just loves hanging out with me. Here are a couple of pics.

Beautiful Saturday

Headed out to Shawnee Mission Park yesterday. It was 75 degrees, and not a cloud in the sky. Since I had been to the zoo the last few weekends, I decided to head in the other direction. The park was busy - the disc golf course, the marina, the dog park, the mountain bike trails. Everyone was out and enjoying the weather before it disappears.
This is a view of the lake from where I was sitting. I brought a book and an apple and just relaxed.

Contemplating

I am sitting here thinking of family and friends so far away. Why is it, when they need me most, I am always so far away? Is this God's way of telling me that I made a mistake? That where I am supposed to be is not where I am?

The Zoo Part 2

It was a beautiful day today - hit 74 degrees!!! So, I decided to head to the zoo again. Yep, third time. But it was too nice out to spend it in my apartment and I could get exercise and enjoy the view at the same time. I took a book and an apple and just relaxed. After part of my walk, I sat down on a rocking chair and read a bit and ate my apple and loved being outside.
